Tele-Works and the Alliance for Innovation Talk Superior Service Through Automation

Blacksburg, VA (10 Nov 2009)— Tele-Works and the Alliance for Innovation will host a webinar for the Alliance for Innovation members and the general public on November 13th.  The webinar will focus on Superior Service: A Top-Down Management Approach to Technology and Automation and discuss ways that both the City of Palm Coast, FL and the City of Thornton, CO have been successful in their recent decision to automate financial and transactional processes using web, IVR and other technologies.

The hour-long webinar will feature a panel of three:  automation industry expert John Schott, CEO of Tele-Works; Courtney Violette, IT Director, City of Palm Coast; and Monica Heimbecher Customer Billing Supervisor, City of Thornton.  The panel will discuss how these cities have used technology to improve customer service and execute management’s vision of providing quality service all while maintaining financial soundness.

“Tele-Works is excited to participate in this event.  Our goal in participating is to provide members with information that demonstrates why IVR is critical to customer service departments.  The ability to make payments, find payment history and check account balances enables localities to not only improve collections and drive down delinquency shut-offs, but also makes it easier on citizens to have access to the information they want, when they want it,”  said John Schott, CEO, Tele-Works.  He continued, “we hope that individuals participating will be able to take some portion of these “real-life” case studies  with phenomenal results and apply them to their own very unique situations.”

This webinar is part of a series of events hosted by the Alliance for Innovation and Tele-Works.  Upcoming events include Southern California Utility Day on January 28th and Northern California Utility Day on February 25th. Visit www.tele-works.com/events.html or www.transformgov.org for more information.
