Housing Authority Selects Tele-Works to Deliver IVR for its Housing Choice Voucher Program
Blacksburg, VA (10 Dec 2009)— The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) has selected Tele-Works to furnish and install an off-the-shelf interactive voice response (IVR) system for its Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP).
The IVR application will provide applicants, tenants and landlords real-time telephone access to their information, such as waiting list position, inspection dates, reexamination appointments, and utility and housing assistance payment (UAP/HAP) information. CMHA will also benefit from an outbound notification system, alertworks, that will be used to proactively make appointment reminder calls and deliver other timely notices to program participants.
“Tele-Works is excited to begin our relationship with the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority to provide 24/7 customer self-service options for housing authority participants, especially those low-income or non-English-speaking individuals who don’t always have convenient access to web-based service options,” said John Schott, CEO, Tele-Works.
With this installation, CMHA will be able to deliver self-service applications that will improve customer service delivery and alleviate pressure from call center staff.
